Russellville High School Principal Jeremy Madden recently announced a new fundraiser school officials are calling Rebuilding the Tradition.The fundraiser allows donors to purchase a personalized brick for either $100 (4x8) or $125 (8x8). The Franklin County Community Development Commission met April 5, 2024, and approved a number of grants to local schools and non-profit agencies.

Motorists who travel County Road 75 over Cedar Creek will soon see repairs and improvements thanks to a grant secured by Rep. Jamie Kiel as part of 'Rebuild Alabama' funds.
Franklin County Engineer Jason Baggett said his department is working to finalize plans for the project and he expects construction to begin by late summer.
