The Russellville City Council approved the hiring of Camie Chard as Accounts Payable Clerk at the council's April 15th meeting. The Russellville Civil Service Board conducted candidate interviews last week. At Monday's meeting, Chard was the recommendation of City Clerk Belinda Miller. Although he wasn't there to see it, Red Bay resident Kelly Moore was posthumously awarded the Franklin County Hall of Fame Award at last month's Franklin County Partnership Awards Banquet. Moore's family accepted the honor in his behalf. Moore, known as 'Pops' by family and grandchildren and 'JoJo' by his golfing buddies, passed away in January at the age of 71. Thursday was a bad day for seven individuals arrested at a house off Highway 48 as part of a multi-agency drug trafficking operation.
