The Franklin County 4-H program had two clubs compete at state competitions in April, performing well at their respective events and winning multiple honors.   In early April, the Archery Club traveled to Columbiana to compete in the state contest. The 100th Alabama High School Athletic Association Outdoor Track and Field Championships kick off today with ample representation from Franklin County. U.S. News & World Report released their list of Best High Schools on Tuesday, and Russellville High School is ranked 21st out of 386 high schools in the state of Alabama and placed in the top 40 percent of high schools nationwide. The Franklin County Board of Education received a progress report on a number of repairs and renovations at several county schools at the board's April 23rd meeting.
