I know, I know...it’s like 112 degrees outside. But the kids are back in school, and soon the weather will begin to cool a bit and you’ll want to be outside. That makes this a great time for a little coat of paint to freshen up the interior of your home.
Don’t get too excited. I don’t mean paint all the walls in the whole house. How about the inside of a door that’s a little worn, or a high-traffic wall that has suffered some abuse over the summer?
Remember that great idea you had to make the living room come alive with an interesting accent wall?
These days it’s all about color. The only rule is individuality, and the only limit is imagination.
Even subtle changes like adding color to a piece of furniture or a picture frame can change the mood of an entire area of your home. Pieces found at yard sales make great paint projects. Paint is a very inexpensive way to enhance your decor and freshen up your home.
Don’t forget (like anybody could), the holidays will be here quickly, and there will be decorating to do and company to entertain. How proud you will be when they notice your efforts.
