It’s certainly that time of year when we should all count our blessings, and I believe your “honey-do list” should have a prominent place in that count. Just think about it.
HONEY. If you have someone in your life who calls you honey, sugar, sweetheart, darling or some similar term of endearment, you are blessed. Husband, wife, son , daughter, mom, dad, friend whomever it may be.
DO. We should all be thankful for the knowledge, ability and willingness to take care of things that need to be done. If we are not able, we should be very thankful for those who help us.
LIST. The list means there are chores to do. Be thankful for that wall to paint, that lawn to cut or that plumbing to fix. And don’t forget to be thankful for that person who cares enough about things to make the list in the first place, even if it’s you yourself.
I hope this season finds you in good health with a great “thankful” attitude. Wise men still seek Him, but there are far more busy inn keepers who don’t have room for Him.
