A Russellville man is being held at the Franklin County Jail after being charged with the rape and sexual abuse of a 13-year-old female.
Ivan Lemus-Martinez, 33, 1400 Tyler Ave., Russellville, made an initial court appearance for a bond hearing today. He faces rape first-degree and sexual abuse first-degree charges. Russellville Police Chief Chris Hargett said Martinez will ikely face additional charges as investigators continue to work the case.
According to Hargett, the alleged incidents took place in the home where the defendant lived with the girl and her mother. The victim and mother reported the incident to law enforcement directly. Investigator Scotty Lowery is the chief investigating officer for RPD.
Martinez remains in Franklin County Jail pending bond.
