Every year the Franklin County Cattlemen's Association (FCCA) participates in the Cowboys in the Classroom program during the month of October.
This program is where members of the FCCA go to the local schools and read books related to agriculture to third grade students.
This year the FCCA has partnered with Madeline Cooper, a graduate of Russellville High School, who has written a children’s book, Just a Girl and Her Cow. The FCCA has purchased hardback copies of this book to give to the local schools.
Madeline met with some of the FCCA board members and signed the books.
The FCCA will be hosting a meet and greet for Madeline at the Russellville Public Library on Thursda, October24th, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 p.m.
This event is for anyone who would like to come meet Madeline and hear about her wonderful book.
