October continues to be a busy month for the Franklin County Cattlemen's Association with a full slate of activities to promote October as Beef Month.
Franklin County Cattlemen's Association President Michael Pounders and FCCA member Phillip Hamilton visited elementary classrooms at Belgreen and East Franklin Schools to read to third graders.
The FCCA also co-hosted an agricultural industry tour for Franklin County high school students, and promoted a 'Farm to Fork' event showcasing local agricultural products produced in Franklin County.
And the Cattlemen distributed free coloring sheets to kids at Pumpkin Palooza, held October 5th in downtown Russellville.
As the Franklin County Cattlemen's Association continue to celebrate October Beef Month, FCCA would like to thank everyone who came by their booths.
FCCA started the week off at the Spirit of Hodges Festival, the Senior Health Fair, the Northwest Alabama RC&D Council annual meeting and Spruce Pine Day. FCCA board members always enjoys meeting the community and answering any questions about beef and the cattle industry.
Beef. It's not only what's for dinner. It's also the driving force in a busy month of interaction between the Franklin County Cattlemen's Association and the youth of Franklin County.
