Northwest Shoals Community College’s (NWSCC) Child Development Center will offer the 2025 Kids in College STEAM summer camp July 21-25, 2025.
The summer camp is open to children entering grades first through sixth in the fall. Each day participants will experience STEAM related activities in science, technology, engineering, art and math.
According to NWSCC Child Development Center Director, Jacque Jefferys, camp activities will take place with an emphasis on the science in STEAM. “This summer, we’re excited to ignite curiosity through hands-on chemistry activities that make learning both fun and meaningful,” stated Jefferys. “We look forward to using simple experiments that introduce key scientific concepts, our campers will experience the wonder of chemistry in a way that’s safe, engaging, and age appropriate.”
Healthy snacks will be provided daily. Children are to arrive promptly at 8:00 a.m. in the Patriot Center (gym) on the Shoals Campus. Each day's events will conclude at 12 p.m. noon.
