…..What then?
We all know the rest of the story. Some of you may be taken aback when Paul Harvey would always say that on the radio. I know I was.
Anyway, I can say, I have made a lot of lemonade lately. This has a positive side for me, and you should know by now that I am a positive person. It’s simple, really. I love lemonade. Oh, yeah! It’s one of my favorite drinks.
All this began months ago when I lost my car key. This wouldn’t be much of a dilemma for some people. That’s because most of you probably have a spare. Well, I’ve already lost mine.
Oops! Right?
After weeks of looking, I knew it was time to have a replacement made. I had no idea about the concept of all this. I had to order a remote, a blank key and then have a different person cut a key and program the remote. That totals a set of four new tires plus balancing. The good news is I should be back in my car by the time you read this article.
I have a dear and brave friend who loaned me his car while I was waiting on my key. This following morning, I had to run an errand. Needless to say, I couldn’t find his key. I thought to myself, “There’s no way!” Thank goodness it was just locked in his car.
I dreaded this next text I had to send him, but I’m brave. I did it. Ha! He couldn’t believe it. Of course, it shocked me when he said that.
Anyway, I just went inside and fixed lemonade with the lemons life gave me.
During this time, I’d been waiting on my new glasses to come in. When I received the text with the news I’d been waiting on, I happily got in my loaned car and hurried to Russellville.
She put them on me, but decided they could use a bit more tweaking. That turned out to be a disaster, because they broke. Oh, yeah! I got to wear them for a couple of seconds, and it felt so good! Guess what? In about a month, I should get another new pair. They must be a favorite of so many, because they were put on back-order.
I just went home and made myself another glass of lemonade.
Well, I’d like to say that was it for a while, but not quite. One week later, I had to go to Russellville again. Glad to be home, I stood at my locked door and reached to get the door key from my purse. Oh, yes! I was locked out.
I just told a friend, I was glad to be alive. I would’ve hated to have missed out on making memories to laugh about.
Since I had a brother in Boy Scouts, I know the famous motto: Be prepared. So please excuse me while I go make a gallon of lemonade.
Just in case!
Until next time, smile and be positive.
