Third annual Stockton fishing tournament set for May 21

The third annual Casey Stockton Memorial Scholarship Fishing Tournament is set for Saturday, May 21 at Cedar Creek Lake.

The annual event raises money for local scholarships. The tournament will run from 6 a.m.-2 p.m. on May 21 and will launch from Slick Rock Boat Ramp.

Entry fee is $60 per boat. Prize money will be awarded as follows: $500 for first place; $250 for second place; $150 for third place; $100 for fourth place; $50 for fifth place. Lunker prize is $200, and Lucky 7 pays $100.

There is a five-fish limit per boat. Door prizes will be given away, including Yeti items, gift cards, fishing gear and more! 

Tournament rules provide the event will be held regardless of weather. Two contestants per boat only, and large mouth, small mouth and spotted bass only will count. Fish must measure 12 inches with mouth closed and roll tail. No trolling allowed and artificial bait only, with no fishing within 50 yards of another boat and no shoreline fishing. Fish must be kept in a live well and shall be released at tournament's end.
