The Russellville City Board of Education approved 19 personnel moves at a short meeting held December 17th.
The board also approved an out-of-state trip request for Russellville High School students to travel to Auburn University to attend the Future Teachers of America (FTA) State Conference February 11-12, 2025. Participation at the conference is a requirement of the grant the school system received for FTA.
The board also approved the 2024-25 athletic schedule for soccer, tennis, baseball and softball teams. The approval includes allowing coaches and sponsors to take teams and cheerleaders to away games and matches. Students will travel to away games by bus or approved vehicle.
The board approved a contract with Reece Coan to work as a School Resource Officer from January 1-September 31, 2025.
