Russellville City Schools BOE accepts bid to reroof RMS
Work to reroof the Russellville Middle School roof will begin soon after the Russellville City Schools Board of Education accepted the lowest bid submitted by Roofing Solutions, LLC, at the board’s July 21st meeting.
11 bids were received, with the highest bid of $872,112, but the low bid from Roofing Solutions, LLC was $611,000.
Other agenda items approved by the board at its July 21st meeting included:
—approval of a resolution regarding the 4.5 mill school tax. The board’s resolution states it will request a local election on November 3, 2026, to consider a 30-year renewal of the tax.—personnel moves as follows: Resignation of Leslie Seale, RCS mental health specialist, Jake Ward, WES teacher and Carley Tellish, RMS teacher, leave without pay for Katie Melson, RES teacher, from August 3-August 14. Employment of Raegan Darracott, bus driver, Emily Stewart, RES math teacher (TEAMS contract pending certification), Joshua Stancil, RMS physical education teacher and Brantley Holden, WES physical education teacher.
—a facilities use request for the RMS gymnasium on August 5th, when Christian Students United will host a night of worship.
—contracts with Bridges Behavior Therapy & Consulting for Behavioral Analysis Services from Oct. 1, 2026 thru September 30, 2027, with REACH Pediatrics Therapy Services for physical therapy services from Aug. 1, 2026 through July 31, 2027, with Stepping Stone Pediatric Therapy for occupational therapy services from Aug. 1, 2026 through July 31, 2027, with JB Education Solutions for individual student assessments from Aug. 15, 2026 through Sept. 30, 2027, with Riverbend Center for Mental Health for professional services from Oct. 1, 2026, through Sept. 30, 2027, with Athens Behavior Therapy for applied behavior analysis services from Aug. 3, 2026 through July 30, 2027, and with the Healing Place for the 2026-27 school year.
