  • Join New Beginnings Church and Anchor Investments for Trunk or Treat, Wednesday, October 29th, from 5-7 pm in the Franklin Shopping Center. This event has free admission and all  ages welcomed.

  • The Cowboy Church of Franklin County will host a Trunk ‘R Treat on October 31, 2025, starting at 5 p.m. There will be candy-filled decorated trunks and fun for all ages! Church is located at 25100 Highway 24, Russellville. For more information, call Michelle at 256-668-2344.

  • Frankfort Community Center will host a fund raiser Bean Plate supper with free live music on Saturday, November 1st. Serving begins around 12 pm. Bean plates are $10 and include beans and ham, slaw, corn, turnip greens, cornbread or Mexican cornbread, dessert and drink. Live music from the group the Hands of Time will start around 2 p.m. All proceeds benefit the Frankfort Community Center raising money for a French drain to keep water out of the building. Support your community and come see us!

  • The NACOLG SENIORx medication assistance program supplies free and low-cost medications for anyone in Alabama with a disability or chronic illness, regardless of age, that requires daily medication.   • The Northwest Regional Library is proud to announce audiobooks are now available through our Books-By-Mail program. This program is completely free to those that are medically homebound, live more than 10 miles from a town with a public library, or require large print or audiobooks only. Must be a resident of Marion, Franklin, or Lamar counties. We are accepting donations of new or gently used CD audiobooks. Donations can be dropped off at any member library.
