LifeSouth Community Blood Center will host a blood drive at Russellville Hospital on Tuesday, November 3, 2026 - 10:00AM to 5:00 PM. LifeSouth is the primary supplier of blood products to Russellville Hospital. At 10 a.m., Saturday, November 7th, you are invited to attend a Wreath Laying Ceremony at the Franklin County Courthouse, where veterans will lay a flower wreath at the memorial which recognizes the soldiers from Franklin County who lost their lives in combat.

The annual Franklin County Veterans Day Parade will begin at 11 a.m., Saturday, November 7th, in downtown Russellville. You are invited to attend and show our support to the men and women who sacrificed and/or risked their lives for the cause of freedom. If you want to ride in the parade, please line up by 10:30 a.m., either at the Farmers Market behind the A.W. Todd Centre, or in the Big Star parking lot. The parade route will follow North Jackson Avenue from Big Star north to Cotaco St., where it will end.

Every Monday from 10am-12pm, Good Shepherd Catholic Outreach has a program to help those in need of food, clothing and partial bill assistance. Stop by Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 1700 North Jackson Ave., Russellville, during those hours to request assistance.

Love Packages Ministry is in need of donations of new and used Bibles (in any condition). They will be sent to ministers and missionaries around the world who will distribute them. Donations can be dropped off in the church office of Red Bay First Baptist Church or Russellville First Baptist Church.

The Northwest Regional Library is proud to announce audiobooks are now available through our Books-By-Mail program. This program is completely free to those that are medically homebound, live more than 10 miles from a town with a public library, or require large print or audiobooks only. Must be a resident of Marion, Franklin, or Lamar counties.
