Valley State Bank donates $3,000 towards additions to RPL’s children’s room
On Thursday, March 26, the Russellville Public Library was given a $3,000 check from Valley State Bank, a donation that will help RPL purchase new additions for its children’s room.
Valley State Bank vice president Kevin Stone presented the check to Russellville Public Library director Joshlyn Bowen, who was joined by her staff and members of the RPL Board, at the library Thursday afternoon.
The donation will go towards the purchase of several educational materials and equipment. Largest among these are a sensory wall and a sensory water tube. The sensory wall is comprised of 11×13 inch panels with different materials and textures.
“We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Kevin Stone and Valley State Bank for their generous donation of $3,000 to our children’s room at RPL,” Bowen said.
“Because of this contribution, we will be adding a sensory wall and sensory water tube, along with enhancing the space with tabletop learning centers, a squish station, and a reading cube,” she added. “These additions will create an engaging, hands-on environment that supports learning, exploration, and development for the children in our community.”
“It is partnerships like these that truly make a difference. Your support allows RPL to continue growing and providing meaningful resources and experiences for our youngest patrons. We are so grateful for your investment in our library and our community.”
