by John Pilati
A Thursday night house fire on Timberline Drive in Russellville remains under investigations by multiple agencies, a source has told the Franklin Free Press.
The call to 911 came around 10:15 p.m., on July 31st, reporting a fire at 79 Timberline Drive, Russellville. Property records show the owner to be Tasha Phinizee.
Two Russellville Fire Department trucks responded to the fire inside the home. According to the source, the power had been cut off at the residence earlier in the month.
After breaching the home and extinguishing the blaze, firefighters were soon joined by the Russellville Police Department to assist in the investigation and reconcile the origin and cause of the fire.
“The home was vacant and had no electricity,” the source told the FFP.
On Friday, participating agencies in the fire investigation expanded to include ‘some state and federal agencies,’ the source told the FFP.
The interior of the home was damaged, but the fire was contained before the entire building was ablaze.
The July 31st incident remains under investigation with authorities declining to comment whether it was being treated as a case of arson.
