API names Stutts, Kiel among its 2026 Legislative Champions
The Alabama Policy Institute (API) today announced its 2026 Legislative Champions, honoring the top twenty most conservative state senators and representatives in the State of Alabama.
Both members of Franklin County’s legislative delegation appear on the list, released by the API this week.
Alabama Policy Action is a 501(c)(4) non-profit dedicated to ensuring limited government, free markets, and strong families.
The honorees, legislators whose steadfast leadership delivered monumental policy victories during the 2026 legislative session, will be formally presented with the awards at the API Annual Dinner on Thursday, September 24, 2026.
"This year's legislative session proved to be one of the most transformative in state history for advancing conservative policy," said Stephanie Smith, President and CEO of the Alabama Policy Institute. The honorees will be formally recognized at the Alabama Policy Institute 2026 Annual Dinner, slated for September 24, 2026 at The Club in Birmingham. Seth Dillon of the Babylon Bee will give the keynote address in addition to the presentation of the Legislative Champion Awards, API Warrior Award, and corporate celebration of conservative policy achievements.
